Sunshine

Ahhhhhhhh....sunshine.... It's feels just awesome. I could actually go outside today and not freeze my face off! I went on a walk and didn't turn around to go back inside at the end of my driveway. It was amazing!  I'm so proud of myself. :)
My puppy sure enjoyed it. He was running back and forth and all over the place.  Chasing birds seems to be his new favorite thing to do. I don't think he understands that once they're flying, he can't get them. Oh well...
I'm so glad it's Friday. I'm on Spring BREAAAAKKKK!!!! My plan is to do nothing. Besides sleeping in. That's the best.

Happy Weekend!

Friendship: What God Says

I had the best time at my friend's house this weekend. We decided to make a video of the most "Awkward Moments."  It took a while to make, but we were laughing the entire time.
It's really important to surround yourself with good friends. Friends that God wants you to be around. God says a lot about friendship in the Bible. Proverbs 13:20 says, "Walk with the wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm." This doesn't mean that you're supposed to become friends with "smart" people. It means that you're supposed have friends that are close to God and wise in His word. Proverbs 17:17 says, "A friend loves at all times, and a brother (or sister) is born for a time of adversity." I have lots more verses but I have to go babysit.... Here's some of them- Proverbs 18:24, Romans 5:2, Romans 12:19-21, and Psalm 1:1. Make some time to look them up. :)
I hope everyone is having a great start to the week.

Fast Weekends and Long Weekdays

The title says it all. That seems to be my life. Saturday and Sunday just fly by and then it's Monday again. Today was a tough day of school. Daylight Saving Time didn't help at all. Before I knew it, it was 2:00 and I hadn't done Algebra or science or eaten lunch. Very tough.
On Saturday, I went shopping and got some great deals at Kohls. Including a jean jacket I've been wanting for a long time. ecstatic scream
I was looking at my schedule today and realized I only have 10 more weeks until summer. 10 weeks. I can't wait. Summer is my favorite season. There are just so many things to do! Swimming, tubing, jet skiing, floating (yes, that is a something I spend a large part of my time doing), tanning, reading in the sun, campfires, camping, and so many more! I cannot wait.
What's your favorite summer thing to do?

Fact About Me

Ok, one fact about me. I spend too much money on really ridiculous stuff that I don't need. For example, a couple weeks ago, I spent $20+ on cookies and chips. All of which I consumed in the next two days. Then there was that $10 ring I bought which I never wore. And that $25 scarf which I only wore once. I bought a bunch of candy for my little brother($15.) Eyeshadow, headbands, need I go on? Too much money!
Does anyone have any tips on saving ideas/plans?

Happy Thursday! :)

Verse of the Day

I opened my bible randomly today and read:

Revelation 5:13 - Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, be praise and honor and glory and power for ever and ever!"

Remember to give God the glory and the praise in everything!

Peanut Butter Cookies...

Peanut butter cookies. Say no more. If I could only eat those things for the rest of my life, I think I would be happy. :) I made a batch yesterday and I might have eaten over half of them myself... I'm eyeballing the last three right now.

Here's the recipe:

3/4 cup of peanut butter
1/2 stick of shortening
1 1/4 firmly packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt

Heat oven to 375 F. Combine peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in large bowl.  Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Add egg. Beat just until blended. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in seperate bowl. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix just until blended. Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls of dough 2-inches apart onto greased baking sheet. ( This part isn't that inportant, I usually guesstimate it.) Flatten slightly in a crisscross pattern with tines of fork. Bake one baking sheet at a time for 7-8 minutes, or until set and just beginning to brown. ( Don't overcook! They are waaaaaaaay better chewy.) Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet.  Remove cookies to cooling racks to cool completly.
Makes 3 dozen cookies. ( Not for me. Although that might have something to do with eating a couple pinchfulls of cookiedough. :\ )

Recipe from Crisco

Enjoy!

Me

Hello!

I'm Carina and this is my blog.  I'm a Christian teen and I've never had a blog before and thought I should try it out. My wonderful friend Rachelle designed Scribble Sense for me because I know nothing about designing websites or really anything about blogs.  I have lots of interests so this blog wont have a direct purpose. Drawing, dancing, reading, writing, fashion, food, music, movies, and most of all, Jesus. I'm trying every day to make Him the most important part of my life so God will definitely be an important part of Scribble Sense.
I don't know where this is going to take me so follow along and find out! :)
